How do I get my films, videotapes, slides, and photos to you?

For online customers, simply complete and print our order form, enclose it with your items, and ship it to us using whatever shipping carrier you choose. For local customers, just drop in during normal business hours (9 am – 5:30 pm).

Do I need to pay in advance?

For online customers, there is no need to pay before you ship your order. For slides, photos, and film reels, we will email you a payment invoice when we receive your order because we can calculate an accurate total at that time. For videotape transfers, we will invoice you after the transfer is complete and we know how many hours we transferred.

How do I know you received my order?

We will email you when we receive your order, along with an online payment invoice if applicable.

How long until I get my order back?

The overwhelming majority of orders will be completed within 3 weeks. The only exceptions are for unusually large orders or if there is a delay in receiving payment of your online invoice.

How long have you been in business?

We opened in April 2002 under the name DVD Memories. In November 2024 we changed our name to Tyler Digital Memories. The same owner has owned the business since inception.

Can I access my transfers online?

We don’t offer online transfer delivery, and we don’t charge you monthly or annual fees for this service. All file formats are standard video or image files that can be freely copied, uploaded, and shared.

Do you charge extra for a USB or DVD?

Absolutely not! These are included in the price of our transfers.

What if I want extra copies of my transfer?

Additional USB or DVD copies are available for $10 each.

Do you charge set-up fees?

Nope.

How much is your return shipping fee?

We charge $17 for return shipping for online customers.

Do I pay sales tax?

All customers located in Texas (local and online) are assessed 8.25% sales tax by law.

Do you ever offer discounts?

No we don’t. We prefer to offer reasonable, straightforward pricing all the time. We think the practice of setting prices high and then trying to lure customers with a perpetual 50% off sale is silly and a little bit dishonest.

Do you have a minimum order size?

Yes, for local customers the minimum order amount is $15. For online customers the minimum order amount is $25.

What formats do you offer for digital conversion?

Tyler Digital Memories converts your memories into familiar, user-friendly file formats: JPEGs for photos and slides, MP4s for videotape and all 8mm film types.

Will the original photos, tapes, or films be returned after conversion?

Yes, you get all your original photos, slides, videotapes and movie reels returned in the same condition we received them.

What guarantee do you offer on your services?

It is quite common that old, deteriorated media is not perfect. Movie film can curl and turn red, slides can be scratched due to poor storage, photos can fade and videotapes will deteriorate to the point that they cannot be recovered. Obviously we cannot guarantee a perfect result due to deteriorated media where the source material is the issue. However, we do guarantee that if any transfer problems arise due to errors on our part, we will retransfer the affected media at no charge.
